So my senior project in High School was a 12 page paper on Harlem Renaissance for which my main inspiration and source was Langston Hughes, his bio and then his poetry. Random info that I want to share because the book I borrowed of his from central library, I kept for so long that it cost me 70 bucks, after paying that, I got to keep the book…Langston Hughes, The Big Sea.
Of course I read more than one book and used other significant figures to make my point but in retrospect I don’t regret the 70 I had to drop because of my own negligence because I ended up being so moved by everything that was part of that time (plus my paper and actual presentation was a good grade).
I still have all of my stuff from this project, the paper, the science board that was used for presentation and the books used for reference. And sorry for the long story, I can’t make them short.
